CAA Members’ Show - May 2008

We are pleased to announce that our 2008 Members’ Show will again be held at the Louis Bay 2nd Library, 345 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne, NJ. Receiving day will be Saturday, May 3 from 10 to 12 and the show will run until Monday, June 9, 2008. The Artist’s Reception and Awards Ceremony will be on Saturday, May 31.

This will be a fine opportunity to exhibit your best work in an attractive gallery setting, and if you need an additional incentive to enter, once again we will be awarding seven cash prizes: Best in Show, Second Place, Third Place, the Sally Logue Award and three Honorable Mention Awards. Janet Walsh, our distinguished May demonstrator and workshop teacher will judge the show and designate the awards.

Eligibility and Conditions: CAA members only. Artists may enter one work. Eligible works include original watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing/mixed media and sculpture. No computer images, photos or prints accepted. Works that have won awards at previous CAA shows are not eligible. Work must be framed and wired for hanging. Maximum size of work must not exceed 42 inches in any dimension. Sculpture must be light enough for one person to handle and must be accompanied by a pedestal. CAA reserves the right to reject work misrepresented, unsuitable or not adhering to the above conditions.

Sales: CAA will retain a 20% commission on sales. Artists should take this into consideration when pricing work.

Fee: Entry fee is $10 and is nonrefundable.

2007 Member Show

            CAA's  2007 Member Show at the Louis Bay 2nd Library in Hawthorne was a fantastic exhibit of high quality art produced by our members and it should give all of us a good feeling.  I must first congratulate our award winners:
