CAA Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the meetings held?
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Archer United Methodist Church, corner of Franklin Turnpike and East Allendale Avenue, Allendale, NJ. Refreshments begin at 7:30 pm, with the business meeting and demonstration to follow at 8:00 p.m. See current newsletter for more information.

May I bring a Guest?
Yes.
Guests are welcome at our general meetings for an admission fee of $4.00.

Why should I join CAA?
Monthly demos are: Inspirational, Educational and Entertaining. CAA provides opportunities to show your work, visit museums and take workshops - all at reasonable fees. Meet other artists, share information and fellowship.

Do I need to be a professional artist to become a member?
Our members are both professional and amateur artists as well as others whose interests are mainly learning about and viewing art.

How do I join? See membership form
Individual Membership $30.00
Family Membership (husband & wife) $40.00
Senior Membership (62 or over) $20.00
Senior Family Membership (husband & wife) $30.00

Dues are payable by June 1, when fiscal year begins. Only fully paid up members of the Community Arts Association are eligible to enter the member shows sponsored by the association.

May I attend a board meeting?
Yes, members are welcome. Board meetings are held from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm, at the Archer United Methodist Church, 37 E Allendale Ave

Who are our member art teachers? As the art teachers listed do not teach under the auspices of CAA, they are to be contacted individually.

How do I become listed in the yearbook and on our website as a teacher?
Pay your dues, donate a painting to our Sponsor Show and submit your credentials (resumé) for review by our board members.

How do I volunteer? How can I help?
We always need volunteers. Look in your yearbook under Committee Chairman, call the Chairman in the area that interest you. Ask how you can help. Attend a meeting, when the clip board is passed around, sign up and the person in charge will call you! See membership form for ideas.
